Brad Gould, BDM
Brad started his career in the electrical industry by applying himself to a 4 year Electrical Apprenticeship. Having completed this apprenticeship and spending another year as a qualified tradesperson Brad moved into a trainee role with an electric motor manufacturing business.
In this trainee position Brad moved to Sydneyand learnt all aspects of the operation of this company. He was involved with customer service, manufacturing, drawing and design. It was during this time that Brad learnt his trade as an Account Representative being included in upper level sales and management training courses to better understand business relationships and their effects on business outcomes.
Whilst applying himself to work toward a career in sales and marketing at work, Brad started his studies in a Diploma of Business (Sales and Marketing).
Brad moved to Melbourne in a senior role with the same motor manufacturing business involving planning and forecasting for large OEM’s that were a part of his client base. This role saw continual work with his company’s manufacturing and planning departments to ensure ongoing supply to his clientele. Brad continued his studies as well as ongoing internal training, thus increasing his understanding of relationships and their effects on business outcomes.
Brad next applied his sales and marketing knowledge in the construction industry dealing with electrical contractors and government bodies to help them achieve their targets whilst developing a profitable turnover for the company he was working for. During his 7 years with this company Brad was a senior sales person within the company developing numerous market segments and geographical areas through understanding product applications and matching them to market segments.
Brad joined the energy management field as a Project Manager in March 2007 to move into a growing industry with unseen potential and has held senior management roles over the past 3 years.
To date Brad has delivered over 60 energy management projects with corporate and Government clients. These projects range from single level offices to multi storey developments. Brad’s clients continue to experience the delivery of energy savings, on time, and on budget.
Brad joined Ilumalite in July 2009 and brought with him knowledge on a range of lighting solutions from his previous energy management experience. When Brad added the Ilumalite offering to his prior knowledge he found that he finally had a range of solutions that allowed him to offer his clients a tailored lighting solution dependant on their financial and energy management goals.
