Mark Rutherford, CEO

Mark is a founding shareholder of Ilum-a-Lite and has been CEO since late 2001. Prior to taking a full time role with Ilum-a-Lite Mark operated a management consulting partnership specialising in developing Leadership and Management skills in senior executives.

Earlier careers were in senior management and Managing Director of an electronics manufacturing company (1988-1996) and as a Naval Officer, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander in 1987.

As CEO of Ilum-a-Lite Mark has developed the market in Australia and internationally for the Light Eco product range. Since assuming the role of CEO the company has been solidly profitable, provided very good returns to its shareholders and is debt free. Light Eco has now been installed on 7 Continents and export sales are 33% of total sales. More than 70,000 units have been installed worldwide. Since 2004 times Mark has formed a Joint Venture Company in China with Ilum-a-Lite owning 51%.

In 2006 Mark commenced a growth strategy for the Company which has seen new products like Save it Easy, Motor eControl and Light EcoZone developed and sourced. Staff numbers have grown to better service local and export markets and a growing reputation as a company that is moving
